  • With much sadness, the decision has been made to close Camp Mahican permanently. This decision was based on the loss of New York State Funding. New York State along with OPWDD have decided not to provide any further state aide for the Camp and they are not replacing it with any other form of funding.   • Coarc’s Day Habilitation programs have opened on phased in plan effective 7/27/20.
  • The Leadership Team is currently working on the plan to reopen Coarc’s Day Habilitation programs. Once the plans have been finalized Coarc will contact all individuals and families.
  • Residential visits are now ready to be scheduled. Please contact the Residential Manager to schedule your visit and learn more about the OPWDD requirements to ensure safety for all.
  • Supported Employment Services are continuing to operate to the extent possible.
  • Coarc’s supportive apartment program will continue to operate as usual.
  • Tradewinds is open every day with the exception of Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • Coarc is taking additional steps to keep the people we support and our employees safe by requiring all employees to wear face coverings while at work and performing health and temperature checks of employees at the beginning of their shifts at all sites.
  • Coarc is taking all steps necessary to secure required PPE from The Arc New York, Supply Vendors and Community Partners.
  • OPWDD has released the interim guidance related to Community Outings and Home Visits.
