What it's for: Swimmers jump into Upper Rhoda Pond to raise funds for underfunded Coarc programs and services for individuals experiencing disabilities. See what some of our past plunges have supported.
How it works: Plungers will splash into the icy water and collect pledges from their friends, families, and coworkers for participating. You can check out pictures and videos from the 2012 Polar Plunge.
Join the plunge: The easiest way to join the plunge is to register and set up a personal online webpage through Firstgiving. Firstgiving will track your sponsors, collect your donations and will even send out thank you letters on your behalf. You can also join the plunge and collect Offline and Cash Pledges using a Pledge Sheet. Check out some First Time Plunger Tips to prepare for the day. Plungers under 18 must have a release form signed by a parent. Plungers please see the plunge schedule for the day.
Create a team of plungers: Bring friends to the plunge with you. It's a fun and festive day full of spectators, free food and hot chocolate, music and camp fires. You can all dress up in costumes or have a plunge theme. Have fun and get wild—all while helping support Coarc! School and non-profit teams can split their donations by contacting us first, please see our flyer.
How to donate: Go to Coarc's fundraising site and find the person or team you want to sponsor!
Watch via webcam: If you can't make it to the plunge, you can still cheer us on from the comfort of your living room by watching us live via webcam! The stream will go live on February 11th at about noon.
We can't wait to see you! If you have any questions, please contact Alex Schneider at (518) 672-4451 or Coarc's Administrative Offices or email us at info@coarc.org.
